Succession
Arthas Menethil right after he is compelled to murder his father by the Lich King via Frostmourne, his sword, to take over the throne of Lordaeron.

The picture was drawn for the Frostmourne contest being held at Blizzard.com, but was unfortunently a day late to be turned in. One day I shall learn to read dates properly, like a good little artist.

Pencil and ebony pencil on regular drawing paper.

If you knew how long and hard I had to search for my user name and password to comment on this you'd realize just how serious I am when I say, "WOW!" Great job. The detail is amazing. But I've always loved your pencil drawings. Sucks that you have a fine university education and still can't read though. . .

Visually stunning. The combination of background and foreground is extremely nice. Also the level of detail is impressive.

Thank you very much! It was a rather hard piece because his armor was more or less obscured in the cut scenes and there aren't many decent stills of it online.
